We love welcoming our guests’ canine companions. While we appreciate your pet is part of your family, not all guests have or like dogs. For the benefit of all guests, follow these Dog Rules during your stay.
You, as a dog owner, are responsible for the behaviour of your dog(s) during your stay at Wallops Wood. You accept full responsibility for any and all damages and/or soiling caused by your dog(s). We will deduct the repair costs and/or additional cleaning costs from your Damages Deposit accordingly (Terms and Conditions clause 16).
Please ensure your dog is microchipped and registered and that worm and flea treatments are up to date.
Dog Rules for Inside
Make sure your dog(s) do not enter any cottage other than the one you are staying in, especially if you have a group booking of more than one cottage. Otherwise, we will need to levy an additional dog fee for the extra cleaning costs.
Do not allow your dog(s) in the bedrooms. Use the blankets and throws provided in the dog welcome basket to cover the sitting room furniture. Do not leave dogs unattended with free run of the properties. Ensure you use a dog crate for your dog(s) if you are going out somewhere dogs are not permitted. You can borrow a crate for your dog during your stay and please let us know the right size for your dog. Contact us if you would like the details of local dog sitters and walkers.
We include a dog towel in the ‘dog basket’. Do not use the bath or showers in the holiday houses to wash your dog or any of the other towels provided in your holiday house.
Dog Rules for Outside
Keep the enclosed garden gate shut and do not leave your dog(s) unattended outdoors for any length of time. Dogs are welcome to enjoy running around your enclosed garden, but please be considerate to other guests who may not be familiar or comfortable with dogs. Keep your dog(s) on a lead when taking it/them to your car, or setting out on a walk direct from the door. Other guests will be staying here and there may be other dogs at the houses.
We provide a complimentary scoop and bags in the dog welcome basket in your house. Please pick up after your dog(s).
We regret that dogs that bark continuously are not allowed at Wallops Wood as they will disturb other guests. Consequently we reserve the right ask the owners to leave should any dog persistently cause a nuisance or distress.
These Dog Rules are incorporated in the Terms and Conditions.
